Google has rolled out Android Canary 2608 with a new layout editor for Quick Settings tiles on Pixel devices. The build, versioned ZP11.260717.006 with the August 2026 security patch, lets users rearrange how their Quick Settings tiles appear in the notification shade.

How to Use It

After updating to the Canary build, tap the pencil icon in the Quick Settings panel. A new "Layout" tab appears at the bottom of the editing screen, alongside the existing tile selection view. The layout editor lets users control where individual tiles sit in the grid rather than just choosing which tiles appear.

The feature is available on a wide range of Pixel hardware, from the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 back through the Pixel 6 series, plus the Pixel Tablet.

Canary, Not Stable

Canary builds are Android 17's most experimental release channel — less stable than beta and not recommended for daily use. Features that appear in Canary often change or get cut before reaching a stable Android release. There is no confirmed timeline for when Quick Settings layout customization might ship to all Pixel users.
