HomePod Mini 2 Leaks in Pink, Green, and Lighter Blue

Apple's next HomePod Mini is coming in five colors: pink, white, green, blue, and midnight. Images discovered in Apple's own code by developer Aaron Perris and shared by MacRumors show the updated color lineup for the unreleased speaker.

New Colors, Same Shape

Pink and green are entirely new for the HomePod Mini. The blue shade is slightly lighter than the current model's. White and midnight carry over from the original. Orange and yellow, which Apple added to the first HomePod Mini after launch, are gone from the lineup.

The design itself is unchanged — the same spherical fabric-wrapped body, the backlit touch surface on top, and the compact 3.3-inch frame. Apple kept the silhouette and refreshed the palette.

What Else Is Expected

The leak came from embedded icon files inside Apple software, not a hardware hands-on, so internal upgrades remain unconfirmed. The original HomePod Mini runs an S5 chip — the same silicon from the 2019 Apple Watch Series 5. A processor upgrade is widely expected, along with Thread and Matter smart home protocol support for better compatibility with the Apple Home ecosystem.

When to Expect It

Apple is reportedly planning an October product event where the HomePod Mini 2 would debut alongside an updated Apple TV 4K and a new iPad Mini. The original HomePod Mini launched in October 2020 at $99.
